When should I take my measurements? Before taking your blood pressure medication. At least two hours after a meal. Measure your blood pressure twice a day (morning and late afternoon). One hour after smoking or drinking coffee. Thirty minutes after exercise. Sit comfortably with both feet on the floor for at least two minutes before taking a measurement, without talking or moving.
